Our Higher Education Partnership

In addition to professional exposure and the development of a skill set tailored toward success in the legal profession, ED LAW offers an extra benefit in the form of a partnership with Santa Ana College, a participant in the California Community Colleges/ California State Bar’s Pathway to Law School program

ED LAW students will be able to begin some of their pathway coursework while still in high school, earning either dual credit with Santa Ana College or AP credit for many of their academy courses. Community-college-bound students will thereby facilitate their fulfillment of the first component of the pathway pipeline, while students who are four-year-college-bound will realize the benefit of being able to transfer the credits they earn to the college or university they ultimately choose to attend.

The ED LAW Advantage

The ED LAW Academy provides our students with access to coursework and supplemental experiences that will augment their knowledge of the legal field and its various professional pursuits, expose them to legal reasoning and writing skills, and enhance their ability to achieve success in collegiate- and graduate-level academic coursework.

The supplemental experiences component, which will comprise a 150-hour student commitment over four years and the option of auditioning to compete on our highly successful Mock Trial team, will include interactions with guest speakers from the legal community, visits to court proceedings and law firms, job shadowing, college and law school visits, Peer Court jury service, Conversational Spanish for the Legal Professions seminars, the CRF Law Day conference, and other similar opportunities.

Ultimately, we hope that participation in ED LAW provides our students with a rigorous and enjoyable experience that helps them develop as thinkers, advocates, and analysts with outstanding speaking, reading, and writing skills, who are better prepared to be successful and difference-making contributors to our global community.

We hope you choose to be a part of our team!
